The videos for 2024 September-December continue a new series titled Epic Train Journeys produced by PBS. This series will run through 2024 December and will include footage both from the air and at ground level. The October video will be a trip on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a 610 mm (2 ft) gauge railway that runs between New Jalpaiguri at 114.00 meters (374.02 ft) AMSL and Darjeeling at 2,045 meters (6,709 ft) AMSL, in the Indian state of West Bengal.
The video for October, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, will be in the Ashcroft Movie Theater on October 3 at 2:15 p.m.

Regular Club Meetings
Regular Club meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month in the Ashcroft Movie Theater. All Shannondell Model Railroad Club Members and Friends are invited and encouraged to attend.
August 2024 meeting: It was decided at the June meeting (2024 June 20) that no club meeting will be held in August.
September 2024 meeting was held Thursday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m.
The October 2024 meeting will be held Thursday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m.

Executive Committee Meetings
The Executive Committee was also scheduled to meet September 19. This meeting took place at 1:00 p.m. in the Ashcroft Movie Theater, immediately prior to the membership meeting. The discussion centered on Open House events for the late Autumn.
Train Room
The Train Room is currently open to all Shannondell residents and accompanied guests. It is generally open all weekday mornings and often in the afternoons. You are welcome to stop in anytime the lights are on, or call x8900 (not regularly monitored) or contact one of the following:
