Coal Mine Operations
Introduction
Railroad operations at the Diamond Coal Corporation Mine are spelled out in this section. The mine is located in Horseshoe Mountain located at the northeast end of the layout. Shannondell Model Railroad brings empty hopper or gondola cars to the mine's loading facility and hauls filled cars to various destinations on the layout. The operating procedure is outlined in the following slide presentation.
